The household-registration system that has stood between urban and rural isloosening with the constant improvement of the level of industrialization. So a specialgroup called peasant-worker emerged as the times require. They have gradually becomean important force in the urbanization process, and tried to achieve their social identitychange through the non-agriculturization. Admittedly, the peasant-worker’s number andscale are becoming more and more. By the1900s, the shift to city about farmersreplacing rural township enterprises had become the main channel to absorb ruralsurplus labor and promote farmers’ occupational mobility. Especially thepeasant-worker’s amount reached252780thousand in2011. However, thepeasant-workers not only have encountered substance disorders, but also have deeplymired in difficult position about system, culture and mentality in the process ofintegrating into city. Therefore some undesirable phenomenon such as status weakness, identity illegality and name stigma, largely appeared. Then they made a specificdistance between the peasant-worker’s economic (occupation) identity and socialidentity, which named identity discord. So this article first explores the transformation process of peasant-worker’s identityfrom history dimension and system dimension, and concludes visualized modernbarriers in it. These barriers include system barrier, culture barrier and self-organizingbarrier. The system barrier appears in the household-registration system and itsderivative system. The culture barrier appears in habitus and symbol. Theself-organizing barrier appears in power and prestige. Second, dissecting the reasons ofpeasant-worker’s identity discord according the horizon of social circle theory, thearticle refines some viewpoints: the identity discord is caused by the excluding of urban resident’s “tightening circles” and the non-systematic integration of peasant-worker’sdouble circles(family circle and instrumental circle). Next, the article clearly sketchesthe policy schema that also applies to identity integration of the peasant-worker inChina, by portraying the shift patterns of peasant labor force in Britain, Germany,America and Japan. Finally, the article builds analysis models that help to study identityintegration of the peasant-worker by CAS theory. They respectively arestimulus-response analytical model and echo analytical model. And then the treatmentstrategies of identity integration of the peasant-worker are expounded according to thesemodels from macro and micro levels, in order to weaken the negative effects that causedby the disorderly flow of peasant-workers, promoting the harmonious development ofChina’s urbanization construction. In microcosmic aspect, the treatment strategybehaves as accomplishing the shift and interaction of two groups, which means bystrengthening the integration intention and ability of peasant-worker and fostering theacceptance consciousness of urban resident. In macroscopic aspect, the treatmentstrategy behaves as achieving the perfection of integration system, which means bybuilding the architecture of symbol mark, completing the system of identity integration, pushing the pattern of family migration and constructing the platform of identityintegration.
