From the end of World War II to the end of the Cold War, there are two kinds of nationaldevelopment model in the world. One is the Western Model, also is modernization developmentmodel of the developed capitalist countries, mainly within the Western Coalition, such as theAmerican model, the German model. The other one is the Soviet model, also is modernizationdevelopment model of the socialist countries, it always exists as the antithesis of the WesternModel. Furthermore,the Soviet Model and the Western Model almost complete absence ofcoincidence point. Before the reform and opening up, China’s national development model hasits own characteristic, but overall still belong to the socialist category of the Soviet Model. Afterthe reform and opening up, experienced30years of development, China based on its ownnational conditions, proceed from own national actual, maintain independence and keep theinitiative in our own hands, break the shackles of the original Soviet Model, and take the road ofdevelopment with Chinese characteristics, to establish a new the socialist development model.From the Soviet Model to the China Model, which is two most important practice that bejoined together in the history of the world socialism in the past hundred years. The two modelsprofound impact on the world, and they are an important part of the modern world history andthe history of the development of human civilization. The Soviet Model and the China Model aretwo development models of contemporary socialism,they are both close connection andsignificant difference, that is“one doctrine,two model”. How to recognize their relationshiprelated to the direction and path of social development in China today. If we abandon the ChinaModel to talk about the Soviet Model, or abandon the Soviet Model to discuss the China Model,these two models are difficult to be a comprehensive and impartial appraisal. Therefore, in theglobal explore new development model today, we need to make a more detailed comparisonanalysis for the Soviet Model and the China Model from a historical height, to know how theSoviet Model from success to failure, China is how to from learning the Soviet Model to breakthrough the Soviet Model and then form their own model, which helps correct understanding andpositioning the China Model.
