Study On The Management Of Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction Programme

With the growing climate change and development of human society, various disasters, with high frequency have caused catastrophic effects to human beings.The Red Cross Society of China who is a government aide in the humanitarian operations has made a large number of fruitful achievements in the disaster management activities of rural communities in recent year. Community-based disaster risk reduction programme is one of them.This paper developed a project management model based on the study of the projects which have been implemented in several provinces, especially in Hunan. The model had discussed the project objectives, project time period, project activities and processes, project monitoring and evaluation, and project financial management etc. The purpose of the paper is to improve the management capacity, fulfill the project targets and make the community-base disaster risk reduction projects more attractive and competitive.
