Under the background of economic globalization, in the face of the strong impact of foreign culture, the traditional houses are facing the gradual disappearance of the urgent situation with regional characteristics and culture.Therefore, based on the Han traditional residential architecture semiotic characteristics research in the west of Sichuan and the semiotic theory, residence architecture feature is inducted, analysed and classificated by using, deconstructionism theory on traditional folk symbols deconstruction of the west Sichuan. The creation of modern regional architecture design is summed up by researching traditional symbols of the west Sichuan. And the principle and the method, could provide certain theory basis and reference value for traditional inheritance and development.Based on traditional residential architectural features of the west Sichuan as the object of study, a wealth of information, experience, technology, early techniques as well as some creation rule are lessons are provided by drawing lessons from traditional Sichuan houses, after traditional residential architectural formation background is researched from the western regions of the natural environment, historical and cultural, economic and other aspects by using the methods of literature research and field research, residential architectural symbols were semiotic classification and elaborated and demonstrated separately. Then summarizes a basic model for the creation of modern regional architecture using the application of traditional residential architectural symbol through the comparison of modern regional architecture in modern architecture creation technique and material characteristics. Proposes that traditional residential architectural symbols were summarized and analyzed by using of postmodern deconstruction tactics. combining with the existing Sichuan Regional excellent architectural design practice research and analysis, combinate the traditional residential architectural culture connotation and modern architecture creation with the organic integration of the environment, and summarizes the semiotic theory and Sichuan modern architecture creation ways and methods.make in-depth study of how to make the traditional culture and ethnic regional culture connote embodiment in the modern architecture facade and modern function in space by the reconstruction and combination of the traditional residential architectural symbols. Make the relationship of the architecture and the historical environment and cultural background maintain harmonious and unified.Finally, taking Chengdu Qinghua Square, Shangshanqi near Qingcheng mountain and Jindu academy street of Chengdu design as an example, this article proposed the principles and methods, to explore how to deeply reflect the cultural connotation of traditional western architectural in the building component details, with positive attitude towards the outstanding national architectural culture,and grasp the essence of culture of traditional habitation in West Sichuan building,make a combination between the traditional and regional architectural creation idea and method and modern architecture design methods. The traditional residential buildings with characteristics in local, such as building elements, colors, materials, the roof line, decoration and so on are applied in modern architecture, or looking for traditional residential architectural image of the representative significance of symbol elements, it can be abstracted into symbols applied in creation.Through the research of the topic and data collection, it can be used for reference to other researchers. At the same time, theoretical resources are provided to create new buildings with a Western-Sichuan national characteristics and distinctive regional style.
