Nanjing Youth Olympic Temporary Facilities Designed In 2014

2014Nanjing Youth Olympic Games is another Olympic Festival in China after BeijingOlympic Games. In this blend of sports, education and culture events, a large number oftemporary facilities will be applied to the design. The temporary facility is an industrybetween construction and building materials leasing industry, which is still in its nascentstage in China with its disadvantages and drawbacks. How to solve these problems so as todevelop and promote temporary facilities better is the purpose of the paper.The paper elaborates the concepts and the status of the temporary facilities, analyzesand evaluates the temporary facilities design and construction practice of Nanjing YouthOlympic Games by the graduation project practice. Divided into three parts, the first partsorts out and analyzes all aspects of the concept of the temporary facilities systematicallyfrom the historical development of the temporary buildings to case studies of the temporaryfacilities. The second part of the paper discusses the design elements of the temporaryfacilities of Nanjing Youth Olympic Games, the new connotation and extension of projectdesign is expanded by the spiritual culture of Youth Olympic Games, Nanjing regional culture,the application of cultural elements and the research of space elements. The third partthe paper, the third and fourth chapters, makes a study of the temporary facilities of theNanjing Youth Olympic to practice my graduation project design on the subject of the projectlocation: Nanjing Youth Olympic headquarters site, a series of design and operationinvolving the temporary construction facilities elements, the system and the type of design,spatial modeling, model performance, diagrams, etc. It also sums up the pros and cons oftemporary facilities features and design ideas, puts forward the principles and specificways of the temporary facilities design of Nanjing Youth Olympic Games based on the uniquecultural elements of the heritage area, and attempts to conduct deep thinking and researchon the construction of temporary facilities, and subsequent use and social value frommulti-angle aspects.
