With the increase of population, economic development and social improvement of living standards, the energy consumption will continue to grow. At the same time, the large-scale exploitation and utilization of fossil energy are causing the atmospheric and other types of environmental pollution and ecological destruction, mankind is facing the dual pressures of energy depletion and environmental deterioration.Solar energy is a huge renewable energy, the development and utilization of the rich, broad solar can produce little pollution. So whether it is from the economic and social sustainable development and high protection of ecological environment for human survival of view, or from the special purpose to solve practical problems of energy supply, the development and utilization of solar energy has great strategic significance. The application Study of solar photovoltaic power generation technology in Smart Substation is to meet the needs of the development of clean energy for the new technology of smart grid.This paper analyzes the factors distribution situation of solar energy resource in China and the influence of power generation capacity of photovoltaic power generation system, the feasibility of photovoltaic power generation system of different area is given;"China State Grid Corp" universal design-2011edition of500-A-3,220-A3-3and110-A3-3three universal design as an example of the transformer substation station load of theory of statistical analysis,at the same time the statistics of9substations in Shandong500kV,220kV,110kV three voltage levels of the actual station load is given, it compared with the theory capacity of substation installed of photovoltaic power generation system, the power can be within the substation load time consumption and power does not need to store, can reduce the load from the power system power ratio. In addition, it also can be used as "black start power supply substation" which can greatly shorten the recovery time of the accident. Based on the characteristics of photovoltaic power generation system, combined with the rules and characteristics of electric load of the substation, there are three access of photovoltaic power generation system,they are access station communication system, access station DC system, access station micro grid system in three ways, by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of each self, this paper recommended the photovoltaic power generation system electric network system access station; then it introduced the development of solar photovoltaic components, comparison of crystalline silicon photovoltaic components and properties, amorphous silicon photovoltaic characteristics, in consideration of technology maturity, reliability, economic factors, according to the characteristics of different regions is proposed to apply the corresponding; the combination of PV modules and the building, comparing their characteristics, focusing on the installation of PV modules in substation, according to the characteristics of each substation is the selection strategy of different installation way.Finally, the research contents of this paper have been applied in Shandong a220kV Smart Substation, and this paper introduces the application situation, and provide the reference for the future application of photovoltaic power generation technology in substation.
