The gas pipelines are increasing with the urban gas enterprise rapid development. The development of the urban gas pipeline facility becomes an important symbol of city modernization. At the same time, the hidden safety danger of the gas pipeline is increasingly obvious. The gas leakage or pipeline burst accidents will produce significant threat to the citizens’ safety, cause great losses of wealth and bring some bad influence to the society.Based on the characteristic of urban gas network, according to the correlation researching result both at home and abroad, the paper carried a wide research on the risk evaluation of urban gas pipelines by means of fuzzy collocation assessment method in fuzzy mathematics.The research contents and conclusions were as follows:(1) Briefly illustrate the background of development, domestic and foreign research present situation, as well as the development trend about the pipelines risk assessment technology. And then give a summarize study of the methods. Explain the normal methods such as analytic hierarchy process (AHP), fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, data envelopment analysis (DEA). artificial neural network method and grey correlation degree comprehensive evaluation method. Meanwhile, the compare for their advantage and disadvantage of each method was made. On the base of above, the main content and target of this paper was put forward.(2) The fuzzy integrated evaluation method was introduced in this paper. The detailed introduction to fuzzy theory and comprehensive fuzzy evaluation had been carried on. Comparing the common comprehensive evaluation methods, this paper discussed the risk assessment of the urban gas pipeline in fuzzy comprehensive assessment method. There are also some discussions about the hypotheses brought during applying.(3) This paper built a risk evaluation system of urban gas network. Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was adopted to analyse the likelihood of failure and the consequence of failure.(4) A preliminary study on the acceptability rule of urban pipeline network has been done based on the research on the principle of risk acceptability. At the same time, this paper gives some methods to control and alleviate the pipeline risk and some suggestions that insure the safe running of the pipeline.
