Solid-web telescopic boom are widely used in construction machinery, forexample crane truck, all terrain truck and aerial work platform, etc. Segmentnumber of telescopic boom grow, the length of each jib increase, lifting weightincrease and the degree of product series of crane is higher and higher, theremust be some similar structures, structures which have same types butdifferent concrete numerical value, in the design process of the same seriesproduct. Those similar structures also have the same process of both analysisand calculation, so the process of analysis and validation for the serial productcan be programmatic and parametric, so in this way a lot of repetitive workcan be omitted and the work efficiency can be highly improved.Closely around this purpose, mathematic mode of telescopic boom is setup to study the difference between different handle of load on the boom, andthe four factors influencing boom buckling bearing capacity are analyzed. Thepaper discussed the method to acquire equal weight telescopic boom modewith different cross sectional forms, as well as the most perfect cross sectionalforms in different working conditions. These conclusions have reference valuefor boom design. With the help of the simulation calculation platform,Parameterized finite element modeling, load application and solution areintegrated together. Under this platform three different cross sectional modelsin different working conditions are analyzed fully and efficiently, solving theproblem of the repetitive modeling under the working condition analysis, sothe analysis efficiency is highly improved. Finally take the actual engineeringapplication as an example to verify the practicability and feasibility of thesoftware platform.
