Along with the national economic strength, even stronger national infrastructure construction gained considerable development, truck cranes as a construction engineering machinery in which plays an important role. The telescopic boom was an important part of the truck cranes and affected by a variety of external load at work. During the design process was needed to make the appropriate structure analysis of telescopic boom to ensure that it has good mechanical properties to meet the needs of work. But the telescopic boom of the truck cranes was needed to suitable for a variety working conditions with large tonnage and complex structure, which was brought a lot of inconvenience in the boom design and computational analysis work.If we can find a fast design method to achieve calculation and analysis on the boom structure process,It could adapt and modify the design model,which will reduce the product development cycle.The topic chosen a large of truck crane as the research object, the telescopic boom of thin-walled shell structures was discrete by finite element method. Analysis of the telescopic boom loading conditions,it,s use of the ANSYS with the parametric capabilities, then extract the structural parameters and section parameter of the telescopic boom, Establish a boom structure of crane with the parametric design language-APDL and get several finite element model with typical operating conditions. Using the test method, the finite element model of the telescopic boom crane structure were verified, Based on APDL parametric design program on the use of the C # programming to developed a truck crane telescopic boom structure parametric design software,and finally with parametric design software to study the design of crane super- lift devices.Research on this topic, it was based on the finite element method, development of parametric design software of the crane boom, it,s reduces the requirements of designer’s and improve the work efficiency, which has a certain practical significance.
