Wang Jinsong, Hyperion, Contemporary Research Zhuang Hui Collective Portrait Photography

In China the1990s is a connecting link between the past and the future of theperiod, during this period, because of the interaction between the society and economy,the culture and other aspects, contemporary art’s development in China presents somephenomena and characteristics that are worthy our attention and consideration. As animportant participant in the contemporary art, photography commendably explainedthe development of Chinese contemporary art in the1990s, and accurately predictthe development of contemporary art in the21st century. In the1990s, the later periodthere are three artists in Chinese contemporary art scene: Wang Jinsong, Hai Bo,Zhuang Hui. They all created a group of photography with the contemporary artisticfeatures coincidentally by means of photography and collective portrait photo wayand with contemporary art ideas and thinking. Whether discovering emotionally thereason why the collective portrait photography of three artists moved me deeply, orresearching rationally the unique performance and important significance of them andtheir works in the development of Chinese contemporary art, especially in thedevelopment process of Chinese contemporary art of photography, and their worksreflecting and promoting the creation of the solution of Chinese society and thedevelopment of Chinese contemporary art problems, etc, collective portraitphotography of Wang Jinsong, Hai Bo and Zhuang Hui is very worthy of study.From their creative intentions, themes, style, creative approach, the marketresponse, etc., I can examine the development of contemporary art in China.At sametime,I can have a clear understanding about the role, status and impact of photographyin contemporary art in China. This article is focus on "contemporary property" andhave a range of contemporary research that are from the external form of the work tothe inherent concept, from the artist’s identity shifted to the subject mattersselected,from the personal characteristics to the era features and three artistscollective portrait photography contemporary extension. In order to summarize andanalyze the development of contemporary art,the causes and impetus of this type ofworks, as well as the role they played in the development of contemporary art in China and world,I decided to complete this thesis.
