A Comparative Study Ran Pile Rapper Singing "Gesar.

This thesis is constituted by four perts:exordium, main text, conclusion and references. The exordium part briefly introduces the research motivation, the research purpose of the paper, the general research situation, the research methods and significance. The main text compares and analyses the singer Arimpil’s Epic of King Geser (also spelled Gesar especially in Tibetan contexts) with other Mongolian and Tibetan versions in motifs and images, and also with other Mongolian versions in languages. In addition, the main text discusses the relation between Arimpil’s Geser and his other epic poem, the Epic of Janggar from four part to research the origin that of Arimpil’s Geser.In the Chapter1,"Comparison among Arimpil’s Geser and other versions in motifs", through the comparing the similarities and differences in motifs and parent stories, the author points out the uniqueness and the traditionalism found in Geser and talks about the influences between them. In the Chapter2,"Comparison among Arimpil’s Geser and other versions in images", the author, after systematically comparing different versions, there had the common images, however Describe unique image of the method and shows that Arimpil’s Geser is Distinctive version with particular and diverse images. In the Chapter3,"Comparison among Arimpil’s Geser and other Mongolian versions in languages", the author talks about singer Arimpil’s Local Characteristics (especially in dialects and customs) by showing the differences of versions of Geser in names, such as the names of protagonist, horses, weapons and landscapes. Moreover, from the comparison, the author discusses the fusion of different versions. At last, the author point out Arimpil’s Geser was influenced by his Janggar. In the Chapter4,"The relation between Arimpil’s Geser and his Janggar." the author argues that Arimpil’s Geser was influenced by his Janggar by analyzing and comparing languages and story plots. The author showed the one singer showed two different epic how to influence each other than discusses the origin of Arimpil’s Geser.In conclusion, this thesis is based on the comparison among Arimpil’s Geser and other versions. They have similarities in motifs, images and languages. Arimpil’s Geser, however, is more diverse and Distinctive than others in details, and because of the influence of his Janggar, is more unique in languages than other Mongolian versions. Meanwhile, the thesis shows that Arimpil’s two epics reflect the regular pattern of tradition and the influences between them.
