Truth View On Postmodernism Perspective Of Marxist Philosophy

This dissertation analyzed the views of truth which hold by post-modernistphilosophers and compared them with the Marx’s practical view of truth to achieve abasic understanding about the truth concept of post-modernist philosophy. Byanalyzing and stating the post-modernist thought about the truth, the paper aimedto grasp the big picture of the post-modernist truth view. Compared with thetraditional concept of truth and analyzed by the knowledge of Marxism truth view,the post-modernist truth view then can be comprehended in the perspective ofMarxism philosophy. This dissertation can be divided as four chapters: The firstchapter explained the truth concepts in post-modernist philosophy and comparedthem with traditional truth concepts; the second chapter stated the truth method ofpost-modernist, Language Game Theory and the Hermeneutics, which are twotypical methods in post-modernist philosophy. This chapter tried to analyze thedifference between these two methods and Marxism method which considered theorigin of the truth as practice; The third chapter discussed the standard to exam thetruth and briefly introduced the contradictory between standard of belief andMarxism standard of practice; The forth part concluded the trait of truth view ofpost-modernist and analyzed subjectivism and relativism which consisted thedeficiency of post-modernist truth view. The problem of truth view of postmodernism comes from the separation of the subjectivism and objectivism, theabsolutism and relativism. Only by the practical method of Marxism philosophy canachieve dialectical unity of both.
