Ethnic minority dance, booming exchanges across the Taiwan straits is very frequent. Across the Taiwan strait exists in cultural and political culture are more or less difference, lead to lead national dance creation trend of mainstream is different. Mainland area with various professional dance school and the professional troupe created by ethnic minorities (pointed to the han nationality of the55ethnic groups, this article also known as the national dance) dancing as the research object. Since reform and opening up, the institutions and organizations for the ethnic dance creation mainstream trend plays a leading role. Therefore not described in this article the mainland area include amateur dance groups and scenic spots of musical creation. With professional artistic colleges and universities in Taiwan, and dance company, amateur groups and tourism scenic area as the main research object. Due to the differences on both sides of the historical, social, and other related factors, lead to ethnic minority dance creation in the development trend of present different across the Taiwan straits. From dance, the author traces the history of the subject matter, form and structure, creative, etc. Summary the creative differences on both sides of the little folk dancing, and find out their shortcomings and is worthy of reference for the other party. Development so far their shortcomings still exist on both sides, through the exchange of learning a certain improvement, but for the long-term development of the cross-strait dance is just take temporary solution not effect a permanent cure. Therefore the author boldly put forward from the experience of other countries to improve, maybe can fundamentally improve the plight of minority dance in the channel today.
