With the improvement of China’s international status, the whole world starts learning Chinese. This popular of learning Chinese bring unprecedented opportunities for China mainland and Chinese Taiwan.In the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, an excellent comprehensive textbook plays a pivotal position and also laying solid foundation. For the learners who have no Chinese learning basic, choosing a appropriate textbook determines the improvement of language skills, the interest of learning and the construction of Chinese thinking.Textbook is the presentation of teaching theories and teaching methods. It is the link between general design and teaching subject, and also is the direct basis of the classroom teaching activities. This paper compared character between Development Chinese and Practical Audition Chinese. I hope that I can do my effort to the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in the future through this paper.
