Nowadays, more and more Burmese who is non-ethnic Chinese except the overseas Chinese began to study Chinese. However, whether such a large number of Chinese learners have appropriate learning materials, whether the teaching topics meet their needs, which topic are they really interested in, which vocabularies related to the topic is close to the the students’real-life that didn’t have in the textbooks? This paper investigates the teaching topics and vocabulary of elementary Chinese teaching materials which are used by adult and under age students. At last, the author designs the questionnaires, whose objects are the students from Fu Qing Language&Computer Center, to get the teaching topics and vocabulary what the students really interested in. Through the investigation and study, this article will find out the teaching topics and related vocabularies for the Burma elementary learners, stimulate students’ interest and improve the teaching efficiency, and provide a reference of preparation of Burma elementary Chinese textbooks.The subject of this article is divided into four chapters. The first chapter introduces the background, significance and objects of the topics, the term, the current Burma Chinese teaching materials, teaching topics, vocabulary related research and research ideas and methods.Chapter2, elementary Chinese textbooks’topics and related vocabulary survey of Burma, primarily through the analysis the lesson topic and related vocabulary of1-12volumes of the《汉è¯ã€‹and《新实用汉è¯è¯¾æœ¬ã€‹volume1-3which is used by the initial stage of minors and adult students materials, obtained the differences in the distribution of the topic and content of the two sets of teaching materials as well as the common topics and vocabularies of the two sets of textbooks.Chapter3, needs survey of Chinese learning topics and related vocabularies of primary learners in Burma, had mainly through questionnaires, and divided this chapter into four parts:personal information, topic, topic content and Burma vocabulary. This article made a statistical analysis of the findings of the two types of groups, and find out the teaching topic, topic content and Burma vocabulary which the two types of groups in high degree of interest. In addition, this chapter made some interviews of Burma elementary Chinese teachers. Teachers learned the the topics which students interested and not interested in and the learning characteristics of Burmese students from the students’ performance when they are teaching.Chapter4proposed some recommendations of compiling the localization materials from the perspective of teaching objects, practicality of the topic vocabulary and cross-cultural communication, and pointed out the inadequacies of this article. |
