Chongqing Dialect Of Research

Chongqing is located in the heart of southwest China,where Jialing rive and Yangze river meet,and is the intersection of the Upper Yangtze River.Chongqing is a famous historical and cultural city in China,having a history of more than three throusand years.Chongqing,which was Pakistan’s capital, is one of the important birthplaces of ba-yu culture. During the sui dynasty,Chongqing was known as "YuZhou", and "GongZhou"in the northern song dynasty,then was called"Chonqing"shortened form "Shuangchong Xiqing"(double happiness), in1189AD, when Song Guangzong became the emperor.Its name haven’t changed from then on. In ancient times, Chongqing played an qute important role in East Sichuan,as the military and political center of it.Chongqing dialect belongs to southwest mandarin as chengdu-chongqing branch, the main characteristics of which are "Ru Tone" combines to the second tone,the type of tone is similar,"SiHu" is complete, most dialects lake retroflection, nasal and lateral sounds the same, n tail changed into n tail, etc. As the representative of east-of-Sichuang dialect,Chongqing dialect sounds stronger than Chengdu dialect,and is one of the most influential representatives of southwest mandarin in Sichuan.The researchs of Chongqing dialect began in the1950s,mainly describing the characteristics of the phonetic system. At that time,Chongqing still belonged to sichuan province, so all the achievements were included in the Sichuan dialect study, and since then, there have not been such size of research in Chongqing.In1997,Chonqqing became municipality directly under the Central Government from Sichuan province,and from then on, monographic studies for Chonqqing dialect have been strated,covering aspects such as pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, etc,however the research of pronunciation has always been a weak of them.The aim of my paper is to make some supplements to the respect. This article is divided into five chapters.Chapter one, introduction, mainly introduces the geographical background of chongqing and its history, the condition of Chongqing dialect research, methods and sources of materials.Chapter two, characteristics of chongqing dialect,describes its initial, vowels and tone.Chapter three, several problems about chongqing dialect, discusses problems such as exception of aspirated feature of initia,the evolution of "ni""lai""yi"characters, bilabials in the first or third level of "liu" rhyme group have n tail, and the evolution of Yang rhyme.Chapter four, research of Ru rhyme of chonqing dialect,describes the characteristics of Ru rhyme and Ru tone.Chapter five, changes of Chonqqing dialect in nowadays,summarizes its characteristics, regularity and influencing factors based on the comparison between pronounce of old people and young people.
