With the help of the writing materials of HSK dynamic thesis corpus,this article classifies the foreign students(Who come from The Non-Chinese Character Cultural Sphere)’major biased errors in writing Chinese characters to three main aspects which are stroke error,parts error,and whole character error.Among which the stroke error includes,increase and decrease of stroke,the size of stroke and writing error;the parts error includes,impairment of parts,misusage of parts,and errors caused by separation of parts;and the whole character error includes,similar-form error and similar-sound error.This article also further analyzes the causes for biased errors and classifies them into four major parts,firstly,negative transfer of mother language due to the huge difference between Chinese and the mother language of the foreign students;secondly,the difficulties foreign students had in memorizing numerous and complicated Chinese characters,and lack of accuracy in grasping the writing and the matrix structure;thirdly,the reluctancy of foreign students to write Chinese and and the reliance on mechanical memory,therefore,the efficiency is not high;lastly,the lack of emphasis on Chinese characters and teaching methods.So on the basis of the analysis above,this article discusses several teaching strategies accordingly,like,giving a brief introduction of Chinese characters’characteristics and helping students build up a Chinese characters view;teaching systematically,and step by step,and teaching Chinese character with focal points;guiding students to recognize and memorize Chinese characters correctly,taking abundant teaching means and methods to stimulate students’ interest.So I wish this article would help foreign students to improve their ability in writing Chinese characters by giving some educational suggestions on Chinese characters teaching.
