Jiangle county is located in northwest Fujian Province.The kiln site found in the county area is collectively known as the Jiangle kiln.The Jiangle kiln was first burned in the Tang Dynasty,reached its peak in the Song and Yuan Dynasty,and gradually declined in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.In this paper,with the porcelainmaking process of Jiangle kiln in Song Yuan period as the research focus,Wanquan kiln and Nankou kiln as the research object,makes a comprehensive sampling analysis of the products of both,starts from raw materials,formulations,processes,production tools,etc.,discusses the tire glaze formula,porcelain process,raw material processing,kiln use,etc.,fully reveals the main face of Jiangle kiln in Song Yuan period.The Wanquan kiln in 2016 carried out a systematic archaeological excavation,the remains are well preserved,products are mainly blue and greenish white porcelain,celadon,black glazed porcelain,porcelain body belongs to the high silicon low aluminum clay,there are a small number of high aluminum products,body raw materials can be divided into three categories.Glaze is different from the traditional cognitive high temperature calcium glaze,the calcium oxide content of most products in the kiln is low,mostly concentrated between 5% and 12%,may be related to kiln temperature and grass ash glaze.The kiln has a class of red-brown glaze products,is rare in ancient times by iron and manganese elements together to color.Kilns are basically funnel-shaped saggar,the production of the saggar only use the same clay.The Nankou Kiln mainly produces greenish white porcelain,a small number of productions of black glazed porcelain,as well as the production of white-rim black porcelain and other special products.Porcelain body belongs to the high silicon low aluminum type of porcelain stone made of the body;its potassium oxide content is basically greater than 5%.It is worth noting that the unglazed rim part of porcelain bowls has detected higher levels of potassium oxide than body and glazes.The analysis results of glaze are mainly high temperature calcium glaze.Analysis of saggar,it can be seen that the saggar body can be divided into four types,the results of the analysis correspond to the appearance of the sample.Excellent saggar and some medium saggar use the same material as porcelain clay.Excellent porcelain is burned in excellent saggar,ensuring that saggar and porcelain shrinkage is the same when burned.The mineral composition of porcelain soil and unburned porcelain body at kiln sites was measured by XRD technology,and the possibility of porcelain formulation was further explored.Using portable XRF to measure trace elements of the glaze shows that even Nankou kiln and Wanquan kiln in the same county can effectively distinguish between two kiln sites through trace elements,which provides us with trace elements to explore the origin of better possibilities.
