Freehand Of Dunhuang Paintings Brushwork Figure

Dunhuang painting, which has always been the research focus of elaborate‐style painting，is our important learning model for its modeling color, idea, and the way they’ve been painted. My study subject is freehand brushwork in elaborate‐style painting, which is also been advocated and carried forward by modern elaborate‐style figure painting. This paper focuses on elaborate‐style figure painting of the Dunhuang painting, and respectively discusses where the freehand brushwork lies in both personal portrait and overall layout, and thoroughly analyses the representative works, and compares them with the works at the time of their contemporaries, and finally get my conclusion. At last, I try to discuss how does modern painting reference，inheritance and carry forward the spirit of freehand brushwork in Dunhuang elaborate‐style painting.
