Compared to the traditional mode of creation, these works write about images with a new documentary aesthetic attitude, and they combine the merits of foreign works and the aesthetic characteristics of China to form a unique "Chinese style" of nature documentary images. These documentaries have great significance on the shaping of our national image, the depiction of natural scenery, the show of the unique flora and fauna and the care of the ecological civilization as well, and meanwhile they draw the audience’s attention to nature documentaries, which is helpful to the development of the documentary market.Documentary aesthetic is able to penetrate and embodied in the implementation process of documentary creation of beauty and aesthetic, nature documentary as one of the main types of documentary with a unique artistic character, its aesthetic characteristics from the content of the Film aesthetics and the connotation of the ecological esthetics. The status and reputation of nature documentaries originates from its aesthetic significance to a large extent, not only meet the human demand for expanding their cognitive ability, but also provide people with a chance to reflect on the society and themselves. Therefore, the thesis combines the nature documentary and aesthetics theory together in order to explore the origins and deeper meanings of nature documentaries, so hope to innovation and breakthrough in academic research.This thesis mainly studied from five parts of a nature documentary aesthetic characteristics:The first part, an overview of the topics of the article; The second part, mainly from the aesthetic philosophy layers of the nature documentary to analysis the nature documentary deep meaning, combined with the spread of mass culture theory and ecological aesthetics to analysis the nature documentary significance of mass communication and deeper responsibility; The third part, mainly with film aesthetics and theory of documentary creation to analysis the nature documentary creation mode from the nature documentary production process in topics conception, the narrative point of view, narrative technique and montage language explores; The fourth part, mainly with film aesthetics and the aesthetic psychology to discusses the aesthetic qualities of the nature documentary from nature documentary visual language, auditory language and audio-visual language; The fifth part, based on the propagation characteristics of social media and the new mission of documentaries, the thesis will further discuss nature documentary creation, its problems and the practical strategies for its market operation, which will provide useful lessons for the future development of nature documentaries.Overall, this thesis tries to examine the nature documentary change and development from an aesthetic point of view, and combines the theory with the practice, which may promote the creation and research of nature documentaries.
