Since the new era, with the in-depth development of the accelerated process of China’s modernization and urbanization, a growing number of countrymen have being carried the dream into cities."Into the city" has become a social transition since the1980s, the most popular picture of the survival of the Chinese farmers and the most intense behavior."Redneck town" has become a phenomenon that it can not be ignored on the path of social development, which has aroused the concern of the whole society. The literature always reflects the social hot spot with its sensitive antennae. For the country folk of the city’s rapidly growing social group, the writers give more attention to the formation of the "redneck town" or the creation of the narration trend.With the new century coming, the team of writers writing "redneck town" grew gradually,not only professional writer, such as Liu Qingbang, Sun Huifen, Li Peifu, Chi Zijian and so on, but also former writers like Wang Shiyue,Li Zhaozheng,Zhou Chongxian. Their works is frequently published in the "People’s Literature","October","End of the World" and "Mountain Flower" of core novels journals, enrich the performance range of Entering City novel, and record countrymen yearning for city life, the hardships of city life as well as the confusion about their homeless. After that, more and more people will recognize the living conditions of the vulnerable groups. At the same time, it can reflect the hardships and grief of the entire country to the people as the main part in the modernization process of transformation。Testing large number of the "redneck town" novels, we can find the features of this theme of novel in the narrative mode. On this, the thesis includes the following sections:Introduction part is the origins of choosing this topic, as well as the research profile of the "redneck town" novel.At the same time, it discuss comprehensively in the previous studies and illustrate the ideas, methods and significance of this thesis. There are three chapters in the main part of Paper. It discusses the narrative mode from the established theme, plot settings and character modeling "redneck town" novels1in the new century.The first chapter discusses the narrative features of the "redneck town" fiction from the theme in the new century, and includes three kinds of theme in the novel:suffering, wandering and love. Analyzing the specific text, I think that the countrymen, whether in rural or urban, not only suffer physical hardships, but also endure mental depression. They encounter identity embarrassing in the city, hardly have mind comfort back to the hometown, and always live a wandering life "on the road".The second chapter explores the narrative characteristics of the "redneck town" novel in the new century from the novel plot and structure. I believe the structure and plot of this novel show the characteristics of the "trilogy" for "redneck town":the calling of the city, the various experiences in the city and the problem of "go" or "left". They mainly suffered the plot includes three types into the city:"struggle-success","hitting the wall-Fallen" and "humiliated-death".Chapter three explores the narrative mode mainly from Portrayal of the "redneck town" novel in the new century, I think the "redneck town" novel exists the mode tendency in the character set and character description in the new century. The character set mainly inherits the criticism of city’s literary tradition, setting the countrymen tragedy to bear, as well as identifying the maker of the tragedy to the city people. In character description, I summarized the three types of representative figures.The full text concludes the narrative mode of "redneck town" fiction in the new century, and further points out the cause of the narrative mode with effect on the novel’ artistic.
