The initial stage non-Chinese character circle learners distinguish the Chinese character tend to overall consciousness, they thought the Chinese character looks like a drawing, favors in the teaching strategy is that teaches the entire character first then partial refinement. Moreover, the foreign learner also does not arrive to Chinese character entire character glyph grasping, causes to many biased errors. Therefore, we need to conduct the research to Chinese character entire character, displays the entire character in foreign Chinese character teaching superiority, and use Gestalt psychology theory discussion Chinese character entire character teaching principle and method.The main contents of this paper are as follows:The introduction part mainly introduces the source of the purpose and significance of the research, present research situation, Gestalt psychology, whole word teaching and the source of corpus.The first chapter mainly introduces the theoretical basis of the whole word teaching, the whole word teaching is not only the nature and characteristics of Chinese characters itself requirements, but also is the subjective and objective factors, including the teaching object of psychological needs, the biological requirements of the relationship between whole and part.The second chapter carries on the statistical analysis to the foreign students’typo characters which is from "HSK Dynamic Thesis Corpus", based on good organization Gestalt principles. the foreign students’Chinese characters bias is divided into three categories:One, the Chinese character biased errors under close and the continuous function; Two, the Chinese character biased errors under complete and the closed tendency; Three, biased errors under the similar function. Through the error analysis, students Chinese characters errors are because of whole word is not a complete memory.The third chapter mainly in the theory of Gestalt psychology as the instruction, carries on the statistical analysis to the single word which in the "HSK Chinese character Rank Program", Chinese characters and types of foreign students errors, put forward four principles of whole word teaching:shape and overall presentation principle, read the first principle, the single character of first principles, first the overall and local refinement principle.The fourth chapter is mainly on the basis of the principle and the theory of Gestalt psychology character teaching, the teaching of the single character and compound characters were put forward specific implementation measures. The single character teaching is the main use of graphics and background theory, highlighting the single character font, so that learners on the font of effective recognition and memory; synthesis character teaching mainly use the first whole to local refinement principle, supplemented by single characters and some characters ability of teaching, using the figure and background theory guide the understanding word teaching, teaching memory and trace theory and association theory guiding the idea-sound characters. Also encourages the whole system of teaching, cultivating students’ cognitive ability of the whole Chinese characters.In brief, Under the Gestalt psychology theory instruction, for the first time quite systematically conducts the research to the entire character teaching, and proposes the system teaching mentality and the implementation method to the entire character teaching concrete implementation.
