The development of new technology, new era of innovation, new media to break the traditional boundaries of visual design. In the media revolution of science and technology today, visual design presentation with diverse and constantly enrich the media. Change from one dimension to multi-dimensional, from static to dynamic, from passive to active participation of the audience. Multiple ways of presentation and dissemination of visual communication now has to move towards the media integration. Thus, high tech, media is becoming more and more involved in public life, visual steering, let us begin using new media, cross media for visual design show.In this paper, through carding the evolution of media, different characteristics of different media, starting from the communication effect of visual information, in-depth exploration of media intervention on the role of visual design, media and visual design shows the expansion, thus summarizes media brings to the visual design, complementary advantages and existing value and future development trends.Through research the author think:Now, the visual design in the new media intervention is the crystallization of technology and art. The new media visual information content is more deepen, the spatial dimension to conversion, function boundaries, expression occurs across multiple. This gives visual designers to provide greater space. Therefore, how to make better use of graphic design principles in the new media, media integration to achieve maximum efficiency of visual communication design.
