The rulers of ancient China attach great importance to the ethicalconstruction of officials before and after the Yuan Dynasty.This article is no longer amacroscopic study of ancient Chinese official morality ideology, but down to the YuanDynasty.And this article wants to achieve the goals of learning from history byinvestigating the origin, content, value and significance of official morality ideology ofYuan Dynasty.Official morality ideology has a long history of Yuan Dynasty, the official moralityideology before Yuan Dynasty has a profound impact on the formation and developmentof official morality ideology of Yuan Dynasty.Yuan Dynasty is the first dynasty thatestablished by the minority.The historical background determined the specificity ofofficial morality ideology of Yuan Dynasty.The officer Zhang Yanghao wrote the "threeimportant advice" with his experience which want to warn the officials must lovepeople,be impartiality and probity.The thinker Zhao Su wrote the "nine content for thegovernment"which want to make the specification to the official from nine respects.The"recommendations on the words and deeds"of Zhang Guangzu listed the character thatofficials should have,and so on.These ideas played a positive role in the respect ofsafeguard the rule,purify bureaucratic environment,guide the social atmosphere of YuanDynasty. And it also influenced the construction of official morality ideological directlyof Ming and Qing dynasties.But the official morality ideological of Yuan Dynasty alsohas some limitations which based on the human nature and depended on moralconstraints excessively.This article wants to elucidate the reasonably content of officialmorality ideological of Yuan Dynasty by listing the ideas of Zhang Yanghao,Zhao Suand Zhang Guangzu.On this basis, we can summarize some positive significance forsocialist modernization and draw some recommendations for the new official moralityunder the new situation.
