With the Effort Model for simultaneous interpretation, the thesis has studied theeffective ways of concentration distribution in order to promote the quality and effectsof SI. Based on the analysis on the Effort Model for SI and the reasons of unbalancedconcentration distribution, the thesis has provided a brief introduction of the ways ofeffective distribution in sub-tasks, including listening and analysis of the message heard,short-term memory storage of the information segments and speech production. In thestage of listening and analysis, information should be processed scientifically andeffectively. In the stage of short-term memory, various memory means should beutilized synthetically and effectively. In the stage of speech production, variousproduction means should be utilized synthetically and effectively. The information ofsource language can be divided into information units, which should undergo theprocesses of listening and analysis, short-term memory and speech production.Therefore, simultaneous interpreting is a mutual coordination process of three tasks, thequality of which is determined by coordination and allocation of concentration.
