Tourist Translation In English Teaching Practice Report

The report looks at examples of English-Chinese translation from the first and thirdchapters of the tourism textbook entitled The Business of Tourism, discusses andsummarizes the features of tourism textbooks, and makes a great deal of reference toChinese and English parallel texts. With regard to parallel texts, the report also aims tosolve practical translation problems by discussing feasible translation methods andstrategies in translation of tourism texts in the perspective of vocabulary and syntax.These methods and strategies not only make the English-Chinese translation faithful tothe original, clear, and concise, but also serve as a reference in writing domestic tourismtextbooks, which helps promote the exchange and development of tourism betweenChina and foreign countries.
