Tourism textbooks play an important role in tourism management teaching and the development of tourism. This thesis cites the translation of the first part of Chapter Ten, “Tourist Attraction” in The Business of Tourism which is an English tourism management textbook for undergraduates. Based on the problems which appeared in the process of translation, amplification and brackets translation are applied in the task as there are a large number of foreign and domestic cases and proper names. The thesis delivers the ideas and information in the original appropriately, reflecting the features of the textbook: practical, concise and easily understood. English-Chinese translation strategies are also applied in the thesis. |
