Since the1990s, Singapore’s political system is becoming the hot spot of theacademic world and the Singapore’s miracle has attracted the attention of scholarsaround the world. In2012,World economy BBS (World Economic Forum)establishedthe 《2011-2012global competitiveness report》, Singapore is ranked NO.2competitiveness country in the world. The elitism government, the developed marketeconomy and the limited civil society is the most intuitive feel from the outside worldto this magic kingdom.Since the1965,the independence year of Singapore,Singapore people’s action party (PAP) came to power of the one-party paternalism, trying to control all aspects of the country. In the late eighty s, the people’s actionparty and the government began to gradually loosen the control of the society. Andthen came to2011in this paper, we discuss the latest election; the opposition wonforty percent of the vote and got the unprecedented success.Singapore successfully established a democratic form which had been provedsuitable to eastern Asian countries. In2011, this kind of “Singaporean democracy”has evolved to a new stage. In the third wave of democratization, authoritariancountries in the east Asia has began the political transformation one after the other,South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and now its turn to Singapore in2011. Achieving theprosperity economy, the sustainable development, the stable social and politicalsystem, while successfully maintaining the status of one-party rule, the evolution ofthe democratization process could provide certain reference to China’s future politicaldevelopment.
