It is the deepening of the reform and opening as well as the acceleration of socialtransformation that various social interest and contradiction appeared in China.However, the socialexpression mechanism is not being matured at present, which resulted in collective action forexpressing interest and dissatisfaction of interest group through network polarization.In recentyears, this kind of group action often make government helpless, it cause a certain degree ofimpact for political stability and social development.The author focus on the reasons for the network group polarization and the strategies bystudying the network group conflicts at domestic and abroad from multi-aspect, such as, group,network technology and political society.Firstly, the author defines the core notion of that paper–"network group polarization". Compared with the traditional polarization, it characterized by aserial of new features in the fields of generative mechanism and social impact from the point ofgroup psychology and network technology.Based on the above analysis, the author points out thatit is the group weak-minded thinking, the sense dispersion of responsibility, easily mood infectionand the silence of the screw mechanism that are the factors cannot be get rid of by group.While,the practical abduction of network group polarization is a political problem, the main elements ofwhich are kinds-of-contradiction accumulation, the trust deficiency of government, inharmoniousbetween the officious and common people, the procrastination of public information, theincitement of foreign force and the stimulation of emergency. In addition, creating goodenvironment for network group polarization, network is the booster for its group polarization.Inthe process, its anonymous propagation characteristic, opinion leaders’ promoting, media add fuelto the fire, and media "gatekeeper" deletion,they are relevant to the network protocol design innetwork transmission process.Network group polarization is a phenomenon as well as a processand results in lots of negative effects, such as crime against democracy, infringement of rights andinterest, easily controlled by hostile forces or even endangerment of social stability. Therefore,basing on the analysis of the factors and effects of network group polarization, the author pointsout that we are able to reduce its occurrence from the perspectives of social management, networksupervision and the moral construction of the law of network to reduce its negative effects andcreate a well environment for political reform and economic development.
