Vietnamese Diplomatic Innovation Geopolitical Environment Since Opening

Since reforming and opening up in1986, Vietnamese own geopolitical environment is changing. Vietnam which bases on changes in its environment adjusts its foreign policy."Independent,open,Diversified and comprehensive"foreign policy ultimately forms and tends to be mature, providing country development for a favorable international environmen.In this article by analyzing "Marginalized" period about the geopolitical environment of Vietnam, its status during the gradual return of the "importance" and "highlighting" the importance of the period reveals the changing of geopolitical environment, through which analyzes the Vietnamese diplomatic changes.Since1979, Vietnam invaded Cambodia, which was the neighboring countries and the international community’s rejection.This time, adding to the Soviet foreign strategy changes,finally from Eastern Europe upheavaling to the Soviet Union disintegrating, the bipolar geopolitical forces disappeared,resulting in power "empty state"in Vietnam.At the same time, Vietnam lost assistance from the Soviet Union and the East European socialist state,mading Vietnam almost in a state of collapse.From the reform and opening up to1991,the Vietnamese geopolitical environment was in a "marginalized"period.Vietnam began to gradually enter the recovery of its "importance"status period to chang the state itself, carefully integrating into the world,and contacting with neighboring countries and the world countries;Vietnamese persistent political diplomatic efforts improved the plight of domestic and foreign, expanding activities in the international space;Since1995, Vietnamese geopolitical environment "importance"have become increasingly prominent,and the South China Sea dispute makes Vietnam’s "marginal zone" geopolitical role apparent increasingly;ASEAN relys on Vietnam’s geopolitical position;America regards Vietnam as a strategic base to return to Southeast Asia Vietnam,greatly enhancing the Vietnamese geopolitical position.Vietnam fully seizes the favorable opportunity to actively in diplomatic integrate into the economic globalization and regional economic integration, strengthen relations between big powers, and actively bold diplomatic initiative make Vietnamese geopolitical status increasingly prominent.The article through discoursing the Geopolitical environment changes since Vietnamese reform and opening up observes its foreign policy and action changes, mainly focusing analysis on Vietnam geopolitical environment changes and diplomatic performance, and finally summs the Vietnamese Foreign characteristics and Comment on Vietnamese foreign policy and actions.This thesis through using the theory of geopolitics for analyzing and discussing different periods in Vietnam’s geopolitical environment and its diplomatic performance, causes, consequences and characteristics, which predicts future foreign policy toward Vietnam has profound significance.
