Anthropological Study German Village Water Use And Management

Based on two-month field work, I focus on the current utilization and management of water resources in De Village, the traditional knowledge of water, the means of livelihood and so on. Afterwards, by describing the livelihood in De Village of Laochang county. By describing the livelihood, water-concerned disaster and its resolution, the current utilization and management of water resources and the conventional knowledge on water.This thesis tries to analysis the relationship between the current livelihood of De village with the drought with the help of the anthropology of disaster and environmental anthropology. I will demonstrate the causes of the current problems in the water conservancy facilities, utilization and management in the village. Finally, the thesis argue that the current continous drought in De village is the result of the vulnerable ecological environment and the bad utilization and management of the water conservancy facilities,In addition, the thesis also illustrates that in spite of the ill utilization and management of the water resources in De village, they make good use of water resources by adopting "wheeling"and some other ways which have been mentioned in The Regulation of Water Resources Management. In this way,they can ease the current situation in De village and help the other regions who are under the same situations.
