On Chinese Women's Development To Promote The Public Welfare

With the continuous improvement of the socio-economic level of China and the in-depth implementation of gender equality, the women issue in China will experience rapid development in few years. There are dramatic changes in China these years, including the continuous improvement of the laws about women protection, the increased rate in the Nine-year Compulsory Education enrollment by girls, the popularization of women’s higher education, the increased investment for women’s health and ensure women have right to work, these achievements lay a good foundation for women’s participation in political, economic, and cultural activities. Women in China have played a pivotal role in each field of society.However, we should recognize that there are still many problems in the development of women issue in China. Due to the unbalanced development of economy and culture in most areas of China, it is difficult to narrow the urban-rural gap and the gap between the west and the east, partial people in these specific areas face many problems and challenges in women development, which is especially prominent in rural, remote and minority concentrated regions. Because of influences of local culture, customs, geography and environmental factors, there are many specific issues in local areas, which have hindered the development of local women. Therefore, the dedication to women development can be only strengthened but not slackened because it has a long way to go.Undoubtedly, the study of women development in public welfare has positive implications and is also important for the research of the development in Chinese women. In recent years, although the investment of central government has been intensified, but due to the limited financial resources of local government, most funds are normally used to solve the pressing issues instead of important issues. Relying on government financial investment chronically, will not only increase the financial burden of the government, but also impede sustainable development of Chinese women. It is necessary to encourage diverse social forces to participate in women development issues in the future, which can lead to a brand new situation of guidance and supervision by government、the broad participation of non-profit organizations、social media and citizens. These campaigns can promote the development of Chinese women in the whole society.Nowadays, the equity has become the mainstream factor to promote economic, social development. It is also an important aspect to promote the development of gender equity, and make sure females have equal rights in politics, economy, education, and marriage as males. From the domestic perspective, sustained economic growth and enhanced financial strength have laid a good economic foundation for women development. Besides, the government has placed emphasis on the social construction, which provides a favorable political environment and social condition to women development. It is an unprecedented developing opportunity for the development of Chinese women, so seizing this opportunity and conducting campaigns about women can provide effective protection to the sustainable development of Chinese economy and society.In view of the huge influences of women on our socio-economic development, the problems in women development, and the current researches that only focus on independent domains while study on women’s development issues, this article emphasize the discussion of problems and countermeasures in women development public welfare from a whole visual angle, which can provide applicable suggestions to Chinese women development.
