Rural left-behind children phenomenon is the inevitable outcome during the period of transition of social system and economic system in our country, and their remaining life condition has been brought into public attention. This study takes left-behind children who live in rural areas in Yuncheng in Shanxi and Zhumadian in Henan as the research object.It uses the first-hand survey data to analysis of both similarities and differences among the left-behind children in every measure for targeted mitigation and meet the demand of different areas of the plight of rural left-behind children and provide the information,analysing all aspects of both rural left-behind children living condition and comparing their life condition.This study analyzes rural left-behind children living conditions from life, learning situation, emotion and interpersonal aspects,basing on the hierarchy of needs, and the theory of social role, the theory of strengths perspective. This study analyzes the rural left-behind children’s living conditions, their main problems and needs, and carries on the summary and thinking.This study found that problem of rural left-behind children phenomenon is not entirely,and both the needs of the rural left-behind children in daily life can be basically satisfied. Faced by rural left-behind children problem is not completely the same but have different focus.That they have a common dilemma at the same time there are different kinds of difficulties. Rural left-behind children’s condition of eating schedule and daily cost in Zhumadian is blower rural left-behind children who live in Yuncheng, and part of the rural left-behind children living in Zhumadian is still in the edge. Lack of guidance in learning and lack of the satisfaction of psychological emotional need are widespread problems in the rural left-behind children. Parents role in children’s growing process is lack,affecting the rural left-behind children’s physical and mental health development in a large extent.
