Analysis Of Current Situation Of China's Diplomacy And The Future Development Of Media Research

Media diplomacy is an integral part of the country’s public diplomacy, it’s very necessary to make our country understand comprehensively and profoundly by foreign media and the foreign public, to promote our country’s diplomatic skills and to shape the image of our country through active and skillful promotion of media diplomacy. Nowadays, under the circumstance of globalization, the basic principle that the country’s diplomatic activities must follow is to safeguard national interests. It’s a good way for us to introduce the peaceful development of China if we use the power and influence of mass media reasonable to carry out diplomatic activities between different countries; this is a reflection of national soft power. It’s very beneficial for the whole world to understand the basic idea and strategy correctly and timely of peaceful development in China if we conduct media diplomacy actively. Also it’s very beneficial for foreign media and the foreign public to understand the Chinese media profoundly and the Chinese government’s concept of building a harmonious world.This paper analyses the current development of Chinese media diplomacy and the trend of future development of Chinese media diplomacy through the study of forms of media diplomacy and the application of media diplomacy in international relationship and diplomatic activities. It researches the development of media diplomacy in China by comprehensively use of research method of politics、sociology and economics, and it based on the political system and the beneficial gambling between different behavior subject. In this paper, it shows the origin and early development of media diplomacy in China, the change of diplomatic idea and environment in China, and the case study of media diplomacy carried in China. Then, it summarizes the development of Chinese media diplomacy, the reason of development of media diplomacy in China and the successful experiences and practices. Finally, it reveals the existing problems and shortcomings of media diplomacy in China, and also put forward the new method for China to carry on the media diplomacy which suitable for china and provide the suggestion for China to develop media diplomacy smoothly.The main problems solved in this paper are as follows:First, it is very essential for us to discover the existing problems during the development of media diplomacy because it is still the primary stage of media diplomacy in China; second, it is important for us to put forward the reasonable countermeasures to make the media diplomacy serve effectively for the interests of the state and national image through innovative analysis because of the problems existing in the development of Chinese media diplomacy; third, it is necessary for us to follow the principle of respecting facts, being not conservative and insisting on innovating, this is because the study of this area is not new both at home and abroad; fourth, the realistic significance of the paper is that it concludes the new way of media diplomatic development which is beneficial to the development of media diplomacy in China, then we need to create a new situation of Chinese media diplomacy.
