With the rapid development of our economy and the rapid advance of industrialization process, our country produced a special group--left-behind children. As a special phenomenon, left-behind children is emerged in China’s economic and social transformation period.Because the complexity of the living environment in the process of their growth, left-behind children is facing various difficulties, so that forming the serious social problem, appearing the attention of the people from all walks of life and the national government.In this paper, based on the present situation of the rural left-behind children, with the theories of sociology, statistics, psychology and other disciplines and methods, in-depth analysis of rural left-behind children problem, the root cause of these problems were discussed. In this paper, first of all from the rural population structure and the basic life of left-behind children learning, education and personality psychological aspects of rural left-behind children in China, summarizes the basic situation and facing problems of study, published by the authority in our country rural children survey data as the foundation, has carried on the data mining and analysis, concluded that the root cause of China’s rural left-behind children problem is due to China’s urban and rural development is not balanced and the duality of urban and rural structure, the direct reason is due to changes in the structure of rural left-behind children in the family, loss of the parent-child relationship, the limitations of the lack of family education and school education and indirect reason is due to the large scale flow of rural labor force. On this basis, this paper puts forward some Suggestions and countermeasures, hope that through the government leading role based on rural left-behind children enough security, through the solution to improve the family education of rural left-behind children lack of education, through the participation of the social people from all walks of life to solve fundamental problems of rural left-behind children.
