With the progress of the society, the change of environment, the traditional prison management pattern already can not adapt to the new situation, severely restricts the team vitality, make work lack of innovation, hard to keep the long continued development of my career. In the prison management, is the most prominent problem of its evaluation mechanism is not scientific and so on. In general, in modern public management, performance management represents an efficient, responsible government image. Comprehensive performance management can promote the practice of "result oriented" work mode, so as to prevent the spread of bureaucracy and formalism; At the same time, the performance management itself with a kind of incentive mechanism, performance and rewards and punishments closely linked, can stimulate the civil servants work enthusiasm, thus output quality and efficient public services.Prison as a special state organs, prison performance management is an important content of public management, this paper based on modern performance management theory, the performance management of prison police as the research object, through the study of C prison police performance management problems, for our country jail guards assessment and establish a scientific and reasonable performance management system and provide exploratory suggestion to improve overall performance.This article from the perspective of performance management to evaluate performance, the prison police rather than the simple sense of performance appraisal, performance appraisal is only a component part of the performance management, etc. Through the performance management, the strategic target of the prison very good throughout the daily work of police, strategic objectives to ensure effective implementation, and finally be realized.
