United Front Work Of The Main Sectors Of The Private Sector Under The Harmonious Society

The party’s sixteen sessions of Fourth Plenary Session firstly proposed that, in the new stage of the new century, we should build actively a socialist harmonious society. Then General Secretary Hu Jintao pointed out,"the socialist harmonious society, that we are building, should be the democratic and rule of law, fairness and justice, honesty and friendship, full of vitality, stability and order, man and nature living in harmony". Therefore, in the social life of the future, handling the interest relationship between all classes and social groups, mobilizing all positive factors and giving full play to the enthusiasm and initiative of all classes and interest groups has become a crucial step in the process of constructing socialist harmonious society. With the pursuit of opening and reform policy and the improvement of the socialist market economy, great changes have taken place in the social structure of our country appeared. There are entrepreneurs and technical staff of private technology enterprises, management and technical personnel employed by foreign enterprise, the self-employed, private entrepreneurs, intermediary organizations employing, freelancers. As a new social group, how to do their united front work, how to give full play to their creativity, how to coordinate the relationship between the classes and how to promote the construction of the socialist harmonious society has become a new task in front of the United Front department. This paper first analyze general situation of the private business owners from the aspects of development of private economy, the characteristics and development trend of private business owners class, the analysis lay the foundation for exploring the united front work of stratum of private enterprise owners. Secondly, I discuss the necessity and urgency of carrying out the United Front Work of this class, and analyze their important role in China’s political, economic and social development; Through the analysis of the case, we formed a preliminary understanding to the problems and the causes in the United Front of private enterprise owners, so as to lay a theoretical foundation for the exploration of the United Front Work to the stratum of private enterprise owners. This article from the principle, the channels of political participation, the work of propaganda, the organizational carrier and self-construction of United Front Department to discuss the methods to do the United Front Work of private enterprises. Through these five aspects of work, the society will provide fertile soil and ample sunshine for the sustained and healthy development of private economy, and unite closely the private entrepreneurs around the CPC, focusing their wisdom, gathering their strength to make contributions to building a harmonious socialist society.
