The official system is one of the most important topics in the study of Chinese ancient history, and there are many famous scholars and monographs focus on it. But among the researchs of the official system about the Tang Dynasty, the study of Taichang Temple is a little insufficient and even today there are no specialized monographs appeared. Because of these, this paper choosed the Tang Dynasty’s Chambrlain for Ceremonials Erudites as the research object,and used historical records and epitaph informations, in order to study their characters and stories, summary out their promotion ways, and reveal their position in the official system of the Tang dynasty. Beyond these, through the research of Chambrlain for Ceremonials Erudites’ etiquette functions and proposed posthumously activities, to clear their effects on the etiquettes of the Tang dynasty, and the role they played in the histories’ wrote. This paper is divided into three parts, includes introduction, body and conclusion. The details are as follows:The introduction meaniy focused on the topic of this article, summaries the research status of the Tang Dynasty’s Chambrlain for Ceremonials Erudites, and on the basis of that, presentations the research methods and goals.Chapter Ⅰ, mainly about the history of Erudites and the process they became the officials, the Five Classics Erudites’ Settings before the Tang Dynasty, and the Three Kingdoms’ time to the Sui Dynasty’s Chambrlain for Ceremonials Erudites’ settings and evolutions, so that to clear the formation process of the Erudites’ system and the evolutions of the Chambrlain for Ceremonials Erudites.Chapter Ⅱ, mainly about the Tang Dynasty’s Chambrlain for Ceremonials Erudites’ Settings, and the numbers. The first is the Tang Dynasty’s Chambrlain for Ceremonials Erudites’ Settings; The second is collect the data of the Chambrlain for Ceremonials Erudites, summaried and listed the character profiles of Chambrlain for Ceremonials Erudites and statistical the numbers.Chapter Ⅲ, mainly about how to enter the political stratum of the Chambrlain for Ceremonials Erudites in the Tang Dynasty and the situations obout their official careers.First, this chapter statisted and analyzed the ways that the Chambrlain for Ceremonials Erudites used to enter the political stratum in the Tang Dynasty, and found their ways to enter the political stratum are varied, but the main method they used to enter the political stratum is Jin Shi Ke. Secondly, researched the official careers’ situations about the Chambrlain for Ceremonials Erudites in the Tang Dynasty,and analyzed the lower officials invoved in their promotion process, in order to investigate the Chambrlain for Ceremonials Erudites’ promotion process. Finally, researched their knowledges and monographs, in order to clear the influence of academic factors in their promotion process.The fourth chapter, mainly about the Tang Dynasty’s Chambrlain for Ceremonials Erudites’ duty, mainly accorded to the Zhi Shu records, and united their specific activities, to introduce them from agreed etiquettes, hottest associate guidances, drawing posthumous titles and temporary affairs.The fifth chapter, summaried the Chambrlain for Ceremonials Erudites’ position in the Tang Dynasty’s official system, and the influence they did on the etiquettes system in the Tang Dynasty.The conclusion is mainly summaried and concluded the full text.
