Of University Voluntary Service Management System And Operation Mechanism

Volunteer service is an important symbol of social maturity. The negative effects of current economic development and social transformation call for the normalization of volunteer service to deliver positive energy to promote social harmony and stability, and the normalization of volunteer service also helps to improve citizen participation in society and enhance social civilization. In recent years, undergraduate volunteers under the direct leadership of the Communist Youth League come to the front of the public launching series of volunteer services including the Communist Youth League’s caring for migrant children service, undergraduate’s volunteer service in western China,youth volunteers’overseas services scheme, large tournament volunteer service, sudden disaster relief volunteer service, etc. In these activities, undergraduates’volunteer spirit distinguished by "dedication, friendship, mutual aid, and progress" has been gradually accepted by the public. The undergraduates’ volunteer service has become one of the most powerful forces in China. However, it encounters its bottleneck in the process of institutionalization, specialization, normality, and volunteering at present. This article, based on theoretical research of home and abroad, studies the background and significance of construction of long-term mechanism in volunteer service. Taking the volunteer services in Nanjing Communication Institute of Technology for example, along with the preparation for Asian Youth Olympic Games, the article researches on the feasibility of the establishment of college volunteer service management system and operation mechanism,puts forward suggestions concerning with improving the relevant legal systems,strengthening the preach, promoting the organization and management, exploring the development path of volunteer service in university volunteer service management system and operation mechanism under the new situation.
