Studies Of The Development Of The Religious Based Care Homes In Aging Process

The strengthening trend of an aging society has brought new challenge and test to the pattern of Chinese pension model. In order to cope with the pressure of the aging society, our country put forward a pension model that based on home care, community care and supplemented by institutional endowment, it also advocates and supports multi participation from the society. Meanwhile, according to our party’s basic principle in religion,"to guide religion to adapt to socialist society", the religious power should be an important part of the pension cause, and the pension organizations sprout and develop quickly.This paper takes the practical church-state relation perspective, developing from both sides of religious endowment and institutional capacity-building and policy environment; it discusses the current situation and countermeasures of the five religious endowment institutions under the environment and system of our country and party.Through the understanding and analysis of the status of the five cities religious endowment institution, we know that these five cities have achieved considerable progress. Meantime, there exist some problems, such as the single fund-raising channel, tight working capital, non-standard mode of operation, lack of long-term development plan and the contents of a single service, lack of professional service, low level of government support and low social awareness. The existence of the problems leads to the stagnation of the five cities’ religious development. The reasons include the incapability of the religious based care homes and the imperfection of the policy environment.In order to promote the development of the religious based care homes in the five cities, and to further develop their standard, this paper comes up with some suggestions for the old based care homes in terms of two sides, strengthening religious based care homes’capacity and improving the policy environment, and it will make the argument from the aspect of rationality and feasibility.
