Ideological and political work is our traditional strengths in political work. It isalso a powerful guarantee to the stable and healthy development of state-ownedenterprise reform. Advanced culture is the spiritual pillar and the power source forsustainable development and an important part of the core competitiveness ofstate-owned enterprises. It is significant important for the reform and development ofstate-owned enterprises to strengthen ideological and political work and corporateculture.In the90s of the last century, corporate culture began to rise in the country, whichis the theory and practice achievements of western business management. With thegradual advance of the state-owned enterprise reform, the pursuit of economicefficiency become to the company’s core objectives. It also brought a problem ofprevalent of individualism and utilitarianism. Corporate culture from the West has alimited role. The advantages of ideological and political work shows the function. Weshould give full play to the guiding role of ideological and political work, playplatform advantages of enterprise culture, innovate vectors and methods and achievethe goal of ideological and political work while insure the corporate culture to adapt tothe requirements of overall reform. Based on this, this paper studies the function ofideological and political work to state-owned enterprise culture.This paper is divided into four parts:The first chapter, Introduction. This chapter presents the background andsignificance of the topic, presents the research methods in this paper, describes theinnovations and shortcomings.The second chapter, the function of ideological and political work to corporateculture. This chapter sudies the meaning of the ideological and political work and the culture of the state-owned enterprises, analyzes the differences and connectionsbetween the two, explores the function of ideological and political work to corporateculture, which is laid the theoretical foundation of the study. Ideological and politicalwork has an important role for the building of enterprise culture, including: clearingdirection, providing power, riching content and creating the environment.The third chapter, current problems of the state-owned enterprises and theideological and political work in the building of enterprise culture. based on the work,it describes the problem in ideological and political work and corporate culture instate-owned enterprises, analyzes the problem of alienation from each other and clarifythe reasons for the occurrence of these problems.Chapter IV, the path selection of the ideological and political work to promotecorporate culture. to address the problem, this paper proposes the policyrecommendations from raising awareness, building working mechanism andimproving protection mechanism. Firstly, for the problems not enough attention, makerecommendations for, attention should establish a correct concept of ideological andpolitical work and corporate culture construction work. Secondly, we believe that toimprove the working mechanism is very important. Third, the paper deepen reformpractices and innovation, focusing on production and business center, innovation andother aspects of the carrier, the actual work made specific recommendations.Innovation of this paper is mainly reflected in two aspects. One is from reality,using theoretical analysis and case study approach, this paper studies the building ofenterprise culture, an important historical period in the current deepening reform ofstate-owned enterprises, which is the more important theoretical and practicalsignificance. Secondly,it is proposing the solutions for the weak link in the ideologicaland political work, which has a strong practical significance.
