The Intercourse Between New Generation Of Migrant Workers And City Dwellers

It is important issue that the new generation of migrant workers integration into urban society in the process of China’s industrialization and urbanization. This problem affects not only our country’s economic and social development, but also affect social stability. The urban social interaction of new generation of migrant workers is one of the most important parts in migrant workers’city dwellersship, so the problem has extraordinary significance and value. Under this background and based on investigation into the migrant workers in Hubei province, this paper, from the perspective of the social integration theory, social exchange theory, inter group contact theory, social structure theory, using frequency analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, tries to analyze the situation and influence of new generation of migrant workers’urban social interaction, the situation of new generation of migrant workers’urban social interaction effects on the psychological integration of new generation of migrant workers. It is found that:As inhabitation condition of new generation of migrant workers’urban social interaction, the intercourse degree of new generation of migrant workers with city dwellers is lower and the profession intercourse degree is higher than life intercourse. Optimistic about the situation in general, it shows that:first, the new generation of migrant workers’ intercourse object is mainly colleague, customers, and clients in work. The new generation of migrant workers’intercourse object is mainly colleague, relatives, and classmates. The range of the intercourse object is gradually extended. Secondly, the intercourse between new generation of migrant workers and city dwellers in work is very frequent, but the intercourse in life is not very frequent. Thirdly, the results obtained by factor analysis is that the new generation of migrant workers’intercourse type include tool professional intercourse, feelings-professional intercourse, etiquette-life intercourse, reciprocal-life intercourse, intimate-life intercourse, and careing intercourse. The intercourse’harmony degrees between new generation of migrant workers and city dwellers in work is high, the estrangement and conflict is few. Although there is no conflict in life, but the degree between new generation of migrant workers and city dwellers in life is in a general level. Fifth, the degree between new generation of migrant workers and city dwellers in work is in a lower-middle level. The degree of tool professional intercourse and feelings professional intercourse is in a general level, and the feelings professional intercourse’s degree is higher than tool professional intercourse’s. The degree between new generation of migrant workers and city dwellers in life is in a low level. The degree of etiquette-life intercourse is in a higher-middle level. The degree of reciprocal-life intercourse is in a middle level. The degree of intimate-life intercourse and caring intercourse is in a low level.The influence between the new generation of migrant workers and city dwellers’s intercourse is individual factor, corporate factor and community factor. It shows that:Firstly, in the individual factor, the marital status as the reference group, the degree of intercourse between married new generation of migrant workers with city dwellers is higher than unmarried new generation of migrant workers with city dwellers. Secondly, in the corporate factor, the degree of intercourse between new generation of migrant workers and city dwellers is affected by business and the nature of enterprise. The new generation of migrant workers in services as the reference group, the intercourse degree about the new generation of migrant workers in building decoration industry and manufacturing with city dwellers is lower than the new generation of migrant workers in services; the intercourse degree about the new generation of migrant workers in retail trade with city dwellers is higher than the new generation of migrant workers in services.The new generation of migrant workers in self-employed sector as the reference group, the intercourse degree about the new generation of migrant workers in state enterprises, collective enterprises, foreign or joint ventures, private enterprises with city dwellers is lower than the new generation of migrant workers in self-employed sector. Thirdly, in the community factor, the degree of intercourse between new generation of migrant workers and city dwellers is affected by residence type and community-type living. The new generation of migrant workers lives in the collective and dormitory as the reference group, the intercourse degree between the new generation of migrant workers lives in enterprise single dormitory and city dwellers is higher than the new generation of migrant workers lives in collective and dormitory. The new generation of migrant workers lives in urban community as the reference group, the intercourse degree about the new generation of migrant workers lives in enterprise community and slums with city dwellers is lower than the new generation of migrant workers lives in urban community. New generation migrant works frequency of contact with the community and niteraction were positively correlated.In the construction about new generation of migrant workers with city dwellers, tool-professional intercourse and etiquette-life intercourse can promote the new generation of migrant workers’ psychological integration, and caring intercourse can weaken the psychological integration.According to the above conclusion is based, the paper discusses three aspects from the individual, business and community. At the individual level, govermont should continue to improve and improve the migrant workers’rights and social security, improve the new generation of migrant workers’ human capital and social capital. At the corporate level, enterprises should implement humane management strengthen corporate culture and spirit of humane care. At the community level, society should strengthen community cultural development, extended community features, and strengthen the cohesion and sense of community.
