Labor wages is not only important to laborer’s daily life, but also the base of laborer’s other rights. For laborers and employing units, the contents of laborer’s wages should be defined carefully. Making sure what is "wages" on labor law is to protect the laborer’s rights as well as the money they should get paid. Labor relations is the basement for getting wages paid. The content of wages is extended and welfare is going to be a part of it. During the period which labor dispute existed, employers may not pay the wages as laborer don’t work. These are not right because they do not know what is wages clearly.Firstly, the article introduces the new comprehension of labor and labor wages. We always think that labor is the action that one person is involved in the production process directly and that man is the laborer. Thus making a lot of loopholes. Labor is a broader concept, including the environment and the results, except the factors we know usually, subject, object, and something else. So the laborer should get paid during a dispute, as the dispute itself is a part of labor. With the modernizing of production, the workers who manipulate directly are greatly reduced while the off-site workers has increased significantly, manual work reduced while intellectual work increased. As a result, even the labor is not working at that moment, the product of his labor may create value constantly.Laborers no matter manipulate directly or off-site workers doing intellectual work, they are the value creators. Their labor should be recognized.If the labor contract still exists, in this period, the employing united should pay the laborer according to the contract and related law.Secondly, the article corrects another misunderstanding, that is most employers consider that it is unnecessary to pay while there is a dispute, and on the contrary, they think it increases the cost. They should know that there are a lot of benefits to pay wages.Enterprise cohesion makes a lot sense to the further development. To attract hearts, details should be paid much attention to. Paying wages of the dispute period show the employer’s attitude to employees. Although the cost increased, the valuable intangible assets which could bring much more value,gained.This action may set up the image that the employer cares the workers and makes them feel warm. If you do this, disputes could be reduced and work efficiency could improved.To outsiders, company reputation is one of the most important intangible assets, which only could be set up for long time and should be cared as it could be destroyed easily, even by a tiny mistake. So this action is necessary for setting the reputation.Finally, this article come up with several Suggestions about the wages during the dispute period. One Suggestion is set up some rules about whether the wages should be paid and how tobe paid. One is the labor law should be carried out strictly. The other one is consummating the procedure of labor dispute. The author hope this article could attract attentions to discuss the problem to make the labor relationship harmonious.
