Research Of Public Parking Facilities Management In Hohhot

With the rapid growing of the city vehicle ownership, the urban car parking issues has been attached importance by government and relevant departments. In recent years, the Hohhot government strengthened the parking management, and there are more parking lots has been constructed.But public parking facilities still unable to meet the city’s parking demand.This paper aims to analyse the management of urban public car parking. Before the discussion, there will be a short introduction about the public parking management of Hohhot, for example, the quantity of the city vehicle ownership, the construction of parking lots, the departments of public parking management, and the formulation of the cost for parking, and then. The problems of public parking management in Hohhot were that there were many issues during the management of city, as the public parking management system developed slowly, the planning of parking was layout of diversion, parking fees was not scientific, and the modern parking management mode has not been found. The research analyzed the imbalance between the supply and demand of the public parking facilities in Hohhot from four aspects of reasons, like the construction of public parking management system, the city planning of public parking facilities, the standard of public parking charges and the operating management for the public parking facilities. According to the actual situation of Hohhot, there are four points proposal on promoting the supply and demand balance of Hohhot public parking:the increase of parking facilities supply, making the parking price system flexible, intelligent parking management and rational planning of city land layout.
