Wuhan City Downtown Parking Problem And Countermeasure Research

With the development of economic level and the improvement of people's living standards, Wuhan car ownership has increased dramatically in recent years, bringing huge pressure to Wuhan down parking facilities especially in city center , parking problem has become a prominent problem of economic and social development and people's life in Wuhan.By using the basic theory of public management and public services, on the basis of empirical study summarized the main performance of the Wuhan city downtown parking,this paper deeply analyzed the reasons why it is difficulty to find parking garages.According to the article, from the perspective of government management, the causes of Wuhan city downtown parking problem include: lagged parking lot planning and construction, poor management of parking,Slow development of parking industrialization,less developed public transport system. To solve the problem of Wuhan city downtown parking needs to make efforts from the following several aspects:firstly, government should strengthen the scientific planning of parking lot;secondly,government ought to improve the policies of the construction and management of parking lot; Third,government need to establish and improve the relevant laws;Then,government should develop the public transportation;Finally,government need to change citizens' travel concepts.
