TV media is now a mainstream media form. It has distinguishing features such as messagetransmission directly, audience’s target clear and definite, society guide powerful and so on. Asthe main platform for the audience to acquire information, the content it spread leaves aprofound impact on the audience. TV shows not only entertain the public, but also have certainsocial guidance features, let the audience being educated while entertained, which is the task TVprograms must undertake. As a traditional mainstream media in the increasingly heatedcompetition environment, there have been many new features and rules, of which the mostimportant is pursuing the biggest economic benefit in the process of system innovation andmarket running, at the same time, there have been a lot of problems in the aspect of socialguidance of TV media.From the perspective of social management innovation, this article is formed by the status,the problems, the causes and it is solving method of the social guidance of TV media. The articlehas discussed the current situation, problems and causes of the problems of social guidance ofTV programs. According to the article, the TV media has been in a mainstream position,although now impacted by internet media and mobile media, but its influence has not changed, itstill plays an important role in social guidance aspects. But there are also many social guidanceproblems in TV media, the main performance are lacking of scientific supervision, thedisconnection of the media worker and the audience, the excessive pursuit of television ratings,the weakened the social guidance of TV media etc. Base on this, the author propose thecountermeasures to change the situation of social guidance of TV programs. This article intend tofind a various solutions of insisting on social benefit as core, in cresting power of audience’scontrolling of TV programs, strengthen construction of internal outlook of value throughgovernment propaganda and cultural departments, television media industry and individualaudiences etc.This article is based on a television program director’s point of view to study the subject, withthe integration of daily work and personal experience, practical and instructive countermeasureshas been put forward.
