The relationship between China and Ghana changed in2013and it was due to the illegal tapping of Ghanaian natural resources by illegal Chinese immigrant. Many Ghanaians and illegal Chinese were killed during this process and the Ghanaian Government was forced to make arrest and then deport many illegal immigrants. Visa acquisition to China in Ghana from that time, was tightened and many Ghanaians are of the impression that it is due to the actions taking by the Ghanaian government. But from2013, the China-Ghana relations was no longer the way it used to be.The primary purpose of this study therefore was to determine whether cultural diplomacy can be used to foster good relations between China and Ghana in a world or environment which has changed and also to make recommendations which could also be used to improve China-Ghana relations. It again aimed to show how trade could improve between China and Ghana if good cultural diplomacy is implemented. This study was conducted in both China and Ghana and the respondents randomly selected. Study design adopted was a descriptive and analytic sample survey. Interviews were conducted and questionnaires were allocated over a period of8weeks. The study examined the elements of culture and its effect on respondents and the results presented. The results showed that China and Ghana had good attitude towards foreigners and foreign policies and that if the elements of culture are well understood and implemented in both countries, it would possibly heal the rift growing in the China-Ghana relations. The study revealed that good cultural diplomacy between China and Ghana could enhance economic benefits as well as bring about tolerance and peace. Import duties in both countries should be reduced to enhance more trade or business opportunities. Immigration policy between the two countries could be reviewed. This implies that citizens of both countries should be given preferential treatment when it comes to visa acquisition and resident permit. This study therefore hopes to offer a solution to the China-Ghana crises and recommends further studies into this area of diplomacy to help improve China-Ghana relations.
