Village Affairs Supervision Committee Construction And Practice

There are1.3billion Chinese people,800million of which live in villages. According to the sixth population census data, there are54.4269million permanent residents in Zhejiang province, with45%urbanization rate. In the province, there are merely33cities and over700small towns, which, in fact, have not been urbanized completely. With Zhejiang’s roaring economy, how to upgrade village-level governance structure, strengthen the democracy at the grass-roots level and stabilize local social economy has become an important issue for social development. This paper, exampled by Cangnan County, Zhejiang Province, is to study the standardization construction of village supervision committee.By analyzing historic courses of village affairs governance, this paper is to discuss the necessity, significance and possibility of village supervision committee as a democratic supervisory organization, this paper is exampled by Cangnan County, Zhejiang Province, the paper is to demonstrate the foundation, supervision approaches and function of the village supervision committee, analyze the standardization construction and governance achievements of village supervision committee in Cangnan County.This paper is to introduce and compare different modules of village supervision in China. This paper is analyzing the realistic difficulties of building village’s affairs supervision committee and thinking over the causes, at last advance practical approaches to improve the standardization construction of the village supervision committee.
