This article seeks to summarize theoretical studies over the years, the process of urbanization on farmland protection, based on the status of the legal protection of arable land urbanization process in China, learn from the developed countries advanced system design, which made recommendations to improve the existing system of legal protection of arable land, ultimately achieve the purpose from a legal perspective to protect our farmland resources.This article is broadly divided into the following four parts to study China’s current legal system for protecting farmland:The first part is an overview of farmland protection, mainly on the relationship between domestic and foreign scholars urbanization and farmland protection between the two concepts and theoretical research for farmland protection.The second part of this paper, the status of legal protection of arable land, including the current status of cultivated land resources, farmland protection status of legislation, the status of arable land ownership status of the legal system, the legal system of arable land use rights and the status of arable land management laws and systems.The third part of this article United States, Britain and other developed countries experience on farmland protection system, which based on current situation in China, get some inspiration.The fourth part of this article, a comprehensive full-text, put forward some suggestions to improve the legal system for the protection of arable land areas, including a perfect proposal farmland ownership system, and improve the system recommended farmland use rights and improve the legal system recommendations farmland management.
