Reseach On Government’s Endeavor To Promote The Upgrading Of The Structure Of Export Commodities

As one of important foreign trade gateway in China,Guangzhou has made full use of her own favorable conditions to accelerate foreign trade and has made a series of developments since the Reform and Opening up.But in recent years,Guangzhou’s foreign trade has increasingly showed flagging,which is demonstrated not only in the widening gap of the total import and export volume with the pacesetters,but also in the necessity to promote the structure of export products and core competitiveness.More attention must be paid to the situation that the Guangzhou Municipal Government and its designated authorities in charge of foreign trade has been striking to upgrade the export commodity structure for so long,but with little effect.When we are faced with the obvious change of domestic and foreign trade conditions and the key period of Guanghzou’s transformation,it is in urgent necessary to draw lessons from researching the precedents and stipulate new polices and measures.Using new theory of public management and modern trade,finding out the evolutionary evidences of the exported commodity structure and the influential factors in Guangzhou through field researching and analyzing data,categorizing the effective way of how guangzhou has upgraded the exported commodity structure,examining the government’s successful experiences and lessons from failure,the essay tries to deliver advises on how to upgrade the exported commodity structure.
